Solar Storm 2024 May 10th. Space weather forecasters have issued a severe (g4) geomagnetic storm watch for the evening of friday, may 10. Additional solar eruptions could cause geomagnetic storm conditions to persist.
The first two eruptions on may 8th were predicted to possibly combine together for a stronger earth impact sometime on may 10th, followed by additional passages shortly. The strong storm could trigger colorful, spectacular displays of aurora, also known as the northern.
